I think I'm gonna rent this garage

Kinja'd!!!

It’s plenty wide enough for anything, but it’s quite short. There’s a workbench on the back wall that makes 15' pretty much the usable length. If that was moved to the side, or thrown out, it would be 17', maybe 17'6" if you really squeezed in there. Oh and 6'4" of height at the lowest part of the doorway. So it limits what I can keep in there a lot, but I can have it for $50 a month.... It’s drafty, and has no floor, just gravel covered with plywood, so it would be an awful place to work on anything, but fine for storing a car during the winter. The space is restrictive, but it’s cheap enough that I don’t think I can not rent it.

That’s a shed. But if it works for you, go for it.

Do those sliding doors have a lock?

I thought sheds wouldn’t have doors that big? But I guess the term is more appropriate given the size.

I need more storage in general so even if I don’t put a car in it, this is crazy cheap for any kind of space in Vancouver.

Yes, each of them does

Cool. It’s probably OK for storage but I’d want to bolster the security a bit.

Not certain, but because it’s just built atop loose ground and not on a foundation, it’s a shed in technical sense. Perhaps.

It needs cleaned really well, and I’ll look into better security if/when I keep a car in it. At least there’s a camera above the doors

That would make sense

I prefer the term “minibarn.”

Only other thing I’d do (if you put a car in it) is put plastic sheeting as a vapor barrier over the gravel.

Some sheds do. I was being facetious more than anything though :)

The doors would need to seal somewhat for that to make much difference I think, that’s someone else I’d need to fix

Not here....I’ll have to make other plans for a barge. That might have to wait for whenever I end up moving somewhere with an actual garage, or at least a big carport. Or underground parking.....

My wife’s uncle has one of those alley garages behind their late 20's bungalow - probably had a model T parked in it...

Clearly this means I should get a model T...
