And I get it. It was my wife’s grandmother’s car, a year old spindle grilled ES, and it was amazing. So damn comfortable. I’d be so chill at work and at home if I spent an hour in that thing each way instead of my Civic. Traffic? Who cares, I’m comfy.

Also, saw a Shelby F150. Needed more grills and badges, I could hardly figure out what it was from the mere 20 per side it had /s

I had no idea they made a Shelby F150, I was aware they made a Saleen Explorer like this:

Actually saw one the other week, sadly it was going the other way in traffic so no SR20.

I wasn’t sure either, but if it wasn’t someone went through a ton of effort to make it look legit. Embossed Shelby snakes on the head rests and center console arm rests.

They are real. The one owner’s wife at work has one. She traded in her Raptor for it.

The only way I could be chill with an hour-each-way commute is if I was sleeping in the back of an autonomous van equipped with magnetic dampers, active noise cancellation, and a king size memory foam mattress.

Best part is that it’s 35min without traffic.

My commute is 15 minutes, and the longest it’s been in my past several jobs was 25. Perks of living in a not-large town and generally finagling my start time to be later than the typical rush hours. Everyone here in Madison is all about getting to work at 7:30 to 8 am, and leaving by 4 to 4:30 pm. I’m not a morning person.

My wife’s drive to work is 17 miles, mine is 64. On most days I spend less time driving than she does. Mostly because a good chunk of those 17 miles are trying to cross Staten Island during rush hour and all but 3 of the 64 I drive are down the NJTP/295 during non-rush hour.

Shelby didn’t make the Saleen Explorer.
