Kid at my old high school had (has?) an ‘04 C320 wagon in perfect condition.

Judging from my observations in real life I almost believe the wagon is the only available body style for the C-Class.

I see a C-class wagon taxi in Bellevue now and then.

Seattle area, rust is slow here. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a local 202 or 210 with rust.

That’s a 203. And rust isn’t a problem in the PNW.

You’re lucky. I can’t remember the last time I saw a 95-03 Benz without some rust. Even newer Sprinters and Vitos love to rust.

The perfect place to own a (shitty) rust prone car then.

Exactly! Actually you even see plenty of classic beetles rolling around, unrestored, surprisingly decent paint, no rust

I’ve heard the joke that Sprinters are actually made of compressed rust.

Rustiest old MBs I see around here are usually very neglected 123s, or much older cars. Even my fintail, which was not always cherished, has very little rust. Worst case I have seen was a 126 that originally came from Quebec, it had a lot of issues. The owner asked me what she should do with it, I told her to find another car - rust repair would have exceeded the value of the car at least a couple times over.
