Most of you don’t know me because I haven’t written in a while. My hours at work have changed and I’ve been spending way too much time in a Forza Motorsport- Forza Horizon 3 paint booth...and that’s why I’m here today. It’s extremely rare for a logo, even a rare one to escape my search attempts.
Marked here on the back of this JTCC Toyota Supra diecast is the clearest example of the logo I can find. It’s a Kyngus petroleum logo, but I can’t read the lower text in yellow.
Maybe someone recognizes it. Maybe you have the diecast. Here are more examples:
On the actual car.
On a decal sheet from Garage Hiro.
An email to Kyngus came back with the information they were to make an engine oil that would be marketed by F.E.T. but it was cancelled and nobody there remembers.
F.E.T. did not respond and Garage Hiro export company forwarded me onto Garage Hiro proper who did not respond.
The same decal was on the bumper cover or splitter of a 1994 Carolla All Japan Touring Car.
Any help and especially a clear image would be great.

I tried. Have you tried using different search engines? That seems to help when I’m looking for something obscure. I just tried Bing, couldn’t find it

Thanks for trying! Generally I do. I have in the past used very specific search terms and found nothing only to find someone over seas to find it immediately using same words. I think past searches cand bias the parameters.

That’s part of the problem. The company has been, bought, sold, split, and merged since the 90'start. They have a bigger presence in F3000.

Possibly. Thats the problem. I admit I’m being a bit of a perfectionist here, but a certain point part of my enjoyment in the game is the searching. Notherwise had one this difficult in a while.

Well, I’ll tell you I was able to find it in about 5 minutes. I’ve been a professional Asset Manager for over 6 years, haha it’s literally my job to find and track images.
So after realizing it was a Japanese oil firm I switched to japanese google. I know, intimidating not understanding the language of the page. If you want to cheat, you can let google chrome translate it for you. I found it on hard mode lol.
So I started using generic search terms to narrow down. “Kygnus” “Kygnus Sunoco”“Kygnus Logo” “Kygnus Racing Logo” “Kygnus Decal” “Kygnus Racing Decal”
“Kygnus Motorsports Decal”
Winner in bold. I just guessed at Motorsports after I didn’t see it under Racing, thought I had a shot at it. This was the whole picture below, someone is selling these decals in Japan through Yahoo apparently.

I really appreciate your time. Sometimes I think my Google gets bogged down trying to make me happy and gives me really random car results. Normally I’m the guy Forza friends come to for this sort of thing. Ocean before a guy came up with a diecast collection forum I’d never heard of and had perfect images of a car or was doing. My Google wouldn’t show it if I didn’t specify the exact forum name.

No problem. It didn’t take that long, I’m moving into product information these days and I’m basically just a car “know it all” at work.
