Kinja'd!!!

Car aggressively passed, squeezed in three cars ahead of where it was behind me, only to be right in front of me a bit later. But he (I assume) made use of the rad mods indicated subtly on the bumper. #commutingisracing?

That poorly aligned Stillen graphic and poorly aligned aftermarket exhaust says it all.

It’s probably a CVT on top of all that, also I like the extra Nissan badge under the Altima incase you can’t see the other one

Probably part of a dealer badge, removed the dealer name but not the Nissan part.

Totally not in touch with the Nissan tuner scene, but one would wonder why, instead of starting with a 2.5 platform and modifying it...wouldn’t you just get the 3.5? Unless maybe part of the mods are a complete swap, but then why wouldn’t you debadge the 2.5 badge? I don’t think it’s completely stock, as I doubt they had dual exhausts on the 2.5 base....ehh, I guess I’m overthinking the logic of someone who probably isn’t using much logic in the first place.

Pre-emptive self edit: It looks like they did have dual exhausts on the 2.5, at least in a few pics, I thought on my 2004, only the 3.5 had duals...but those aren’t the stock exhausts...so maybe a cat-back system? But then, why start with a 2.5? Uggh...stop over-thinking it!!!!

wouldn’t you just get the 3.5?

That would cut into his vinyl budget

2.5 + CVT = misery. My wife has a Rogue with maybe the same combo? That thing is terrible to even attempt to drive spiritedly.

It’s basically a GTR at this point.

Because they both suck.

Can’t afford the 3.5. 2.5 + ‘It’s really really fast! No, really!’ stickers and giant unnecessary muffler is cheaper than 3.5 + mods. Or better yet, a 370.

I doesn’t matter how much you spend on an Altima Coupe, you should have gotten a Z.

Well the only solution that seems to work for spiritedly driving crappy CVTs is to just keep the pedal matted. Then the car gets the idea that you want to go fast. The problem is that it is obnoxious and full throttle 100% of the time can’t really be a good thing. But I have found this is the only way to make the car enjoyable.

Or is a GTR basically an Altima?

And in one post, you have exerted more critical thinking than the owner of the Altima. Side note: I once lost a sale in the early 2000s because a guy’s wife wanted dual exhaust tips and the early 2.5 only had a single.

This idiot will drive into something and deploy those airbags- probably Takata because too dumb to read the recall notice.

Altimas seem to be stereotypical BMW bros in disguise, lots of unhappy aggressive drivers out there.
