There’s still a few of these knocking about near me, mostly Copens. The Fourtraks and Sportraks are still there but on farms in all states of disrepair.
I’ve just had a look at the Daihatsu Japan site.
Does Daihatsu still operate in other countries as I can’t find much evidence other than repair centres etc...

Funnily enough that’s about the same amount of snow as at my university, though I’m sure you’re used to having way more snow, whereas we aren’t, haha.
Copens are cool, though I can’t imagine it having a lot of interior space:
(That guy is about 2.10m tall, but I’m thinking it will still be a tight fit for a slightly more average person)

We’ve only had this little snow five times since measurements started in 1896. I would love to try one, think it would be quite cool as a sporty city car.

I found that they left Europe completely by 2013, as Toyota wanted to focus on their own models. I considered buying an Applause with four wheel drive a couple of years ago, and the newer Terios also seems quite interesting.

I am 1.90 metres tall, and I don’t fit in a Copen. I tried to get into one at Toyota Megaweb, and there were Japanese people pointing and laughing at me. Japanese people almost never do that, so I must have looked particularly silly.

They’re even officially imported in some European countries, they were here (NL) before they stopped importing Daihatsu totally. The Cappuccino was imported officially as well but they kept that RHD.

It was never sold here in the first place, that particular one is a 2009 imported in September 2013.
