During my 7 hours of driving to drop off my brother at school today I saw a Maserati Levante going the other way on the highway. I litteraly said out loud “Holy shit, is that a Maserati Levante?”

Kinja'd!!!

I thought I recognized the front, and when I looked up the taillights it was confirmed.

Kinja'd!!!

I wonder how many of these are even in the USA

Inb4 0 and I saw something else

They idle obnoxiously loud. They sound good even under gentle acceleration, but the idle just sort of drones on and on.

I did the same thing the other day when I saw a Bentayga. I was baffled as I’m not used to seeing expensive cars. I was on my way to Minneapolis but probably still two hours north east, of the cities. I looked at my wife and said “Bentayga..... that was a quarter million dollar SUV. WE could a house, and two nice cars for the price of that Bentley.”

My wife saw one near D.C., I was pretty jealous when she sent me the pic

I’m pretty sure that’s a Levante up there

Don’t mind a loud load exhaust or even an idle— it’s the “cruising” area that gets you between 1500-2500.

They sound plenty fine around that mark though. Been next to some with the windows down on the highway.

I saw one driving around during Christmas- was too dusk to grab a pic, but looked nice. I guess they’re rolling out heavy now. That said the Alfa cars- also with Ferrari derived engines seem to be a better (and more affordable) option to me.

Awesome to “hear” because when you’re cruising, you just want quiet.

They’re pretty unobtrusive.

Take it out of sport mode and it will idle quietly.

TAKE IT OUT OF SPORT MODE AND SELECT I.C.E. IT WILL BE QUITE LIKE A BMW 7 SERIES

ONLY SELECT MODELS OF ALPHA HAVE FERRARI TUNES ENGINES. THEY ARE NOT THE CHEAP ONES. MOST ALFA’S HAVE FIAT ENGINES.

Yes the Quadrifoglio editions. They still tend to be a bit more affordable when speced the same and offer better performance.

I spotted one in Raleigh NC and another in Salt Lake City Utah, so I’d say... definitely three. They do catch your eye...
