You can’t see it because of the clouds, but another two hour drive and I’d be in a spot that got two feet of snow yesterday. But why the fuck would I want to deal with that? Camping in the snow is no buen. You can see the snow covered peaks in the background.
My normal spot was unreachable because of snow.

No spacers. Just shocks and springs off a Rubicon Unlimited which has it sitting around stock height on account of the winch and all the crap on the roof. The shorty bumper kind of makes the front end look lifted up.

I drove uo there once with a Subaru in the snow when my oldest daughter was two. We ended up rolling the seats down and sleeping in the car. It was pretty fun. The Subie on a 4wd mountain roads in the snow was sketchy.

I don’t know if I’d go that alone with only a two year old. The Jeep will be less sketchy, although I don’t know how good they are for sleeping in. I just picked up a cap for my MJ so overlanding (er, parking just off deserted backroad) can commence!

I had my wife with me. You can take the rear seat out of the Wrangler in about a minute and sleep in the back. I usually have my kids sleep in the Wrangler so my wife and I can have the tent to ourselves.
