Kinja'd!!!

Front page article on the fix for the 2015 models made me do a search to see what’s available for wagons in my region. This one lists at $27,000 and current asking price is $24,000. What would Oppo pay for a 2015 TDI Wagon?

I have to imagine it’s less than a 1.8t of comparable spec, which starts around $22 but then again, I don’t really know anything.

Asking the wrong crowd. The answer is always tree-fiddy.

I wonder if Tom McParland would have insight?

Also, I came looking for a picture of the lochness monster, leaving disappointed.

A NEW gas GSW sells for about $21k +\- $4k depending on spec. A used 2015 should be like $16k, but they’re not losing value.

The thing is actually new, 12 miles. Thanks for the input. $24k seems way too high for the thing.

Sitting for that long? Wouldn’t buy it, even though diesel cars survive it better than gasoline cars, but it still means a lot of sitting which is kind of hard on cars that aren’t mothballed properly.

I paid $29,000 for my SEL 6MT wagon.

Then I put 28,000 miles on it in 18 months and sold it back to VW for $31,000

Dunno if that helps you at all...

It’s new? I didn’t think they could legally sell those

Yeah, for the 2015s there is a fix for because it is a different engine with urea injection.

Although now that I typed that out I realize that whereas the old ones were known for their longevity, no one knows much about the new ones.

Well, I know they used to command pretty close to msrp. But this ones been sitting around waiting for a fix for the last year. And now it’s got a fix but 1 year of bad press.

P.s. That’s a hell of a way to arrive at a down payment on a 997.
