Well I’m less confident than I was prior to the interview. How ever I still believe I’m in the running! I’m not sure what the take way is. The CEO popped in and we had a nice chat. The thing he said that kind of is leaving me hanging was “ I’d like to congrat you on making is this far in the processes” as he said his good bye.. What does that mean?? Uugghhh

Any ways here’s a V4 SAAB 95 I saw today on the way for your time.

Like an orchestral audition, it’s all about making the second round. Good luck, you made it this far.

3 rounds, and apparently there are more to come? Wow!

I don’t remember more than 1 interview round for any of my jobs.

You’re on round 3 and you met the head honcho, I’d feel a little more confident:)

Congrats! I bet you did better than you think

I had a second interview earlier this week, and I think it went well, but I haven’t heard anything back yet. I’ve pretty much given up hope. It’s my defense mechanism.

Im trying to be. I tend to be negative about stuff I’m really excited for. I think its a coping mechanism or something. But GAH I want this job soo bad, its perfect so im going nuts waiting and hoping.

See I still don’t understand that. I feel super good just having gone this far even if I don’t get it.. but I really want it. So im probably reading too much into it. Ugh ots so stressful.

I wonder if that’s half the reason they do this. To sort of stress test you.. I dunno. And thanks im trying.

I cant image there are many left. I mean I meet the CEO!! Haha im use to two rounders but this job is also a bit of a high ranking position so that might be normal.. I dont know.

There’s an old saying in the orchestral world, and probably from elsewhere: “If you throw enough shit against the wall, some of it is bound to stick.” In an audition, you know pretty quickly if you didn’t get the job. (“Thank you. Next?”) But, to quote Wayne Gretzky, “You will miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” I hope you get the gig, but, if you don’t, you have the experience of this interview to make the next one better. Keep throwing that shit, because something will eventually stick.

I get that. It’s good not to get your hopes up, but it’s hard not to. I both work for a search firm (although I’m not a recruiter) and have been approached by a recruiter in the last month. So I know the biz well enough. If you’re on interview #3, at least a couple of “somebody’s” like you.

I hope you get the job!
