The ethernet connection in my dorm refuses to actually connect me to the internet. The WiFi is horrifically slow and unreliable to the point of being unusable for most tasks and tech support is beyond useless (I told you 5 times, I don’t have an IP address because I can’t connect to the network!). All I want to do is relax and play some Forza with friends.
Rant over. Have a WRC Impreza.

Talk to your IT department, they did something with mine and made it way faster. Think it was just a reset in the building.

Soon enough you’ll be out of the dorms. You’ll look back on those living conditions and wonder how anyone can be ok with it. I was very luck in that I became great friends with all of my roomates.
Start befriending older students who have connections. I found a nontrad who owns a beautiful 10 year old house 5 mins from campus. I rent the entirety of the basement for under $500 a month.

Of the four places I lived in during university, residence is tied for third in terms of best places I lived. Which is incredible, because second place had the basement slightly flood (while I lived in it) and first place had a fire and also my sink was frozen for a week.
Residence sucked.
