It’s not a real sports car unless a how to video is required to open the hood, which costs more than a C4.

But while that is forward in terms of the vehicle. it is inward opening like a traditional front hood.... So no it would have to oper to the rear like a clamshell.

I never took my trunk/hood off my Fiero. Even when I changed the clutch.

the gt, with the longer c pillars made it so you had to crawl over, and under, JUST to lean way over to get to the mess. my friend was also obsessive over his paint. made for an aggravating work area......

they are fun cars when they are right. you sit almost on the ground. like sitting in a go kart. you feel like you are flying, even though youre not going THAT fast. fun stuff.

my friend ran HIS out of water, and me and another friend got hired in to fix it. waaay young me, working on that sorry little v6, and my friend was SO worried about the paint on the car. it was one of those buddy deals. and by then i had the thing half took apart like a two dollar watch. couldnt back out by then. so i took the trunk off, and rounded up those thick moving pads that look like quilts. to cover the whole mess of fiero(fun little cars really) ended up waiting what seemed FOREVER for my friend to get money together for gaskets, and to get the warped heads resurfaced. longest three weeks EVER.

not too long ago one of my friends ended up with a FEW. was one of those post traumatic stress, face to face moments......

Ah yeah. I loved my Fiero, but the paint was going so I wasn’t too anal about it when I was working on her. The most annoying thing was having to drop the subframe for the clutch job. Thank god I was living at my grandparents and he has a lift, so unbolt it and and lift the car off. Was relatively easy. Until I got it all buttoned back together, took it all back apart because of a noise, couldn’t find noise, put it back together, and then no noise..... FUCKING CAR!

it surprised me when i found out later that they are nearly entirely plastic paneled cars. also that they will try to burn themselves down if you take the heat shields off.

they had all kinds of interesting variants on the roofs, from plain to t, targa, sun roofs, all kinds of fun options over the years.

they FEEL fast, and that is enough. they sure are fun to go cruising in.......

Yeah their booth back in 84 was very pretty women snapping on the plastic panels. Very neat cars.

It was pretty fast feeling. I loved it. Dual ashtrays. Mine had the removable sunroof. Great cruiser. Just wish I had gotten the A/C working.
