The tone and tenor of your articles sets the precedent for the tone and candor of the comments section. Specifically regarding the Beast, the cheap shots taken at Trump throughout the post set the stage for the shitshow of vitriol that follows. An opportunity to talk about past limos, tech in the existing limo, or a simple straightforward news blurb about the status of the new machine under development became burried in the need to rehash the same tired and rehashed jokes.

I despise Trump, but I wish people would stop bringing him up in stories that aren’t even about him. Every time I read his name or see his face I’m reminded of what America inexplicably decided to do to itself.
That said the jokes on FP today were subtle enough (didn’t even say his name) that I’m fine with them.
