Never even heard of the American Gumball before. Sounds like a pretty good time. I would almost consider doing it if they had one in NJ. Although I don’t really see the point of getting sponsors. Is it only so you pay less for the entrance fee? Could someone run with no sponsors?

Yes and yes thats what I did. Although the price went up 200 bucks for 2017. I think they got sued by somebody cause the entry form changed dramatically from last year. We had a great time last year and looking forward to this year.

I just saw there is actually a Tennessee Rally! Ironically it goes from Gatlinburg(about 30 minutes East of UT where I go to school, to Nashville, where I live. How did you get sponsors? Also, how were the speeds throughout the trip?

Good question on the sponsers most people I talked to that were sponsored did it with they’re own personal business or a friends business. Speeds were quite high (100+) until the rain hit. It was actually way more intense than I thought it would be.

I know it was nuts. In a big pack you almost feel invincible but then I lost everybody and slowed down. The crazy part is we actually had a police escort for part of it. Nothing like running red lights with a bunch of hot rods and cops.

Okay I have a few questions still.
Did you have to buy all the stickers that were not the “Gumball” stickers? The websites kind of unclear.
What did the total trip cost for you including the team stuff?
Anything else I need to know?

Ha sweet got ya thinking about it. All I did last year was use the sticker kit that they provided. All those stickers must be on your car but you can add your sponser tickets or others. Our rally starts in Port huron early saturday so we had to get a room for friday night. I didn’t do any team shirts or stickers thats optional but I do plan to do that this year. Everything else was included hell we even went to Mis sunday and partied at the Nascar race.
There is no advantage to speeding to the checkpoints time is not a factor to win. Its just alot more fun.

She would probably enjoy the road trip aspect of it. I might also get her to help me with the Social Media side. We have done a few trips to see friends, go to Balls(she goes to a Private University in Alabama. Her friends are LOOOOAAADEEEDD), and to see a bowl game so I know she’s not opposed to them.
