It’s the presidential elect, I didn’t want him from the get-go. He hasn’t even done anything and I feel like he’s tearing everything I know apart. Perhaps I’m overreacting though, I’m hoping this feeling of dread will blow over after his inauguration.

The other day this old cock face, anus pimple of a human here was pissed about some Disney workers getting fired and getting replaced by some people from India or something like that. He went on and on and on about Obama and how Trump this and that. “Our country is absolutely ruined because of Obama, blah blah blah”
In the middle of the rant I said, “dude, do YOU work for Disney? Do YOU work for Ford? Do YOU have money in the stock market? ( he doesn’t ), Did anything from wikileaks directly effect YOU? No? Then why the fuck are you so stressed about that shit dude?”
Don’t worry about that stuff buddy. Almost all of that stuff will not directly come down to you. If so, adapt. All you gotta do is be rad, work hard, and focus on being happy.

Relax, brother. The media is loving this guy because he attracts lots of eyeballs and clicks for them. When you look at it in the cold light of day, though, he hasn’t done anything yet, as you say. Feeling the same. He should have never been the GOP’s nominee. He’s vulgar, rude, divisive, lies more than normal politicians, is extremely thin skinned, a poor speaker, a bully, a crook and the list could go on but in short he is the most unqualified president there will ever be. I don’t think he lasts 2 years, but he’ll find a way to make it sound like he’s stepping down. Not only is he deplorable, his cabinet selections are not only the worst, most unqualified choices...but also the very essence of the swamp he claimed he was going to drain.
The president is supposed to be a person who commands respect, even if you don’t care for him or his ideas you should be able to want for him to succeed. Instead we got a petulant 12 year old. I have zero respect for the man, if faced with unfortunate position of meeting him I’d probably turn my back and walk away without saying a word. If I did speak it’d probably get me into trouble with security.
I didn’t care for Bush, but respect him. If Romney would have won I would have shown respect...but here I just can’t. His fans/followers all claim we need to get over it and stop complaining because he won and now it’s time to do our duty as Americans to support him. No, these are the people who for 8 years have whined and complained about everything at every turn. and they managed to vote in the absolute worst human possible. These are the people who have turned being disrespectful to our President into something casual and now commonplace. They don’t care they were lied to, he doesn’t care when he gets called out and caught in a lie.
Nobody cares anymore about who the candidate is, they only care if they are on their team and completely vote with blind loyalty. Every other candidate in history with something questionable have almost immediately had their campaigns come to an abrupt end. Howard Dean yelled YEAH in a weird way and poof, done. Trump has a sizable book worth of questionable....sigh*

the media failed us this time. At the start of his campaign they should have had a daily spotlight on everything that makes him not worthy of office. But for some reason they rode the ratings train and missed that opportunity. The man has been sued so many times that alone should have knocked him out...I thought his being an obvious moron was enough, but nope.

Oh, the guy’s failings got plenty of media exposure. I thought his twitter obsession alone would have sunk him. But really, our society has changed so much since I was a kid. When I was young, being caught cheating on your wife would sink a candidate. By the time Clinton was impeached, we became inured to the point that talking about his jizz on an intern’s dress was played off as no big deal. The times we live in set the stage for a person with Trump’s boorish behavior to get a pass.
Anyway, remember that its not the press’s job to try to promote or sink a candidate. When that happens is when they really fail us.

true, but in this case if the media were to sink him it’s have been a public service. Though,like him, many of his supporters only pay attention to media outlets that tell them what they want to hear (i.e. Brietbart) and argue that anything you tell them that is a proven fact is false liberal garbage.
It’s sad when I have to tell my 14 year old son that pretty much nothing our new President does or says is acceptable behavior...almost the same conversation I had with him about how GTA is a game and nothing in it is to be emulated.

I think a lot of the people who voted for him had their eyes open to his faults but were hoping they would be balanced by his talents. Let’s all cross our fingers that they are right to some extent.
And we have already convinced our daughter that his behavior is unacceptable. It makes me a little more optimistic for the future of decorum in the next generation.
