EDITED! Noticed this is the rear of a saloon, not a Coupe! :)

That looks like it’s carrying some interesting junk in the trunk. I’ve always wanted an OT1000 to race with, but the prices are ridiculous.

Yo RallyDarkstrike I saw you way up in the middle of nowhere on the oppo map , and had a question. I’m likely going to Lunenburg for a family thing sometime this summer, and was curious if there was anything you consider must do in the area, or in Nova Scotia in general?

So nice! My first car in early 70's was a Spider. Knew someone with an orange Coupe. As far as I know back then we were 2 the only about 5 Fiats on the entire Outer Banks. The others were a 124 and two 128s.

I’ll get back to you tomorrow - don’t have time enough to think about it and post this evening! :P

Cool that you’ll be in my area though! Your family originally from here?

Cool, as did mine on mom’s side! What Lunenburg family if you don’t mind my asking? Our distant ancestors may have been ship mates as crazy as that could be! Bubeckhoffer was our family name (the British registrars wrote it down as ‘Bubikauffer’ - it’s Anglicized as ‘Publicover’ now) - my ancestors came over on the Sally .

This is a great site for research if your family is ever looking for some info!

As for visiting, depends what you like to do and how long you are staying! Lunenburg is a very small town, as are the three that surround it - Chester, Mahone Bay and Bridgewater. Bridgewater is just a shopping site, really. One or two nice small museums there if you are into that sort of thing Mahone Bay, Lunenburg and Chester are your usual ‘touristy’ small towns. Lunenburg has a very good museum called the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic. Halifax (Nova Scotia’s provincial capital) is only about 50-60 minutes away from Lunenburg and there is a lot to do there if you are going to travel around a bit (I highly recommend the Citadel and the Maritime Museum Of The Atlantic while you’re in Halifax if you go - the Maritime Museum especially).

If you’re going to be staying around the province for a few weeks and have a lot of time, the drive way up to Cape Breton (it’s fairly long, like 5-6 hours depending) and through the Cabot Trail is worth it...amazing scenery and a very nice driving road. One of us Oppos had taken a motorbike trip on that route a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Let me know if you want any more info or anything! :D

Cool, thanks! May be a little doxxing (which is why I’ve annomized the link a bit) but this is my family: https://goo.gl/KiVLIi . My family came over on the Pearl, a year before yours.

Cool - still a common family name here, yours is. The local Geneaology society in Lunenburg and the local museum in Mahone Bay may have information you folks don’t have if you were interested while you were here - no harm in trying! (Mahone Bay is 10 mins from Lburg)

Enjoy the trip if you do make it up here! :)
