Mine is a Honda F20C engine from an S2000 into a C3 Corvette. Greatest normally aspirated four cylinder with the greatest manual gearbox into the best American sports car design ever, provided it doesn’t have the old fashioned chrome bumpers. The early smog era Vettes make no power, so what the hell. How’d I love to pull up to a Corvette meet and rev the little Japanese power plant to 9000 rpm.

Would be an interesting hp vs. torque thing. The L48 in ‘75 made 165hp and 255 lb-ft.
I don’t know how trolling this would be, but I’d love to LS or big block swap an Amphicar.
Would require basically upgrading all of the actual running gear, but hey, that’s why it’s a fantasy.

This could go one of two ways for me.
I really want to put a 2011+ BMW N52 into a 2004 Ford Ranger Edge SuperCab just to say it’s a 3.0 Liter Ranger.
Or
I also want to put a 2016 BMW B58 into the Ranger Edge. That makes it one hell of a 3.0 Liter Ranger. 320 hp in a small, light truck with a manual seems like a good idea to me. Or it could be dangerous. Either works.

The best Jag V12 foolishness would be to take two 4.2 heads, two 4.2 cylinder inserts, some deck modification, and produce custom crank and camshafts for OHC 8.4L V12. The spacers and extra pieces for the rear timing set would be a little tricky but not too bad.

common. Usually involving one head backwards like I described, similarly to a Ford 4.0. I don’t think it’s common to the point you wouldn’t have to make your own parts. I wasn’t able to turn up info on anybody successfully completing a full DOHC of over 8.0l, though.

I like this idea. Speaking as an N52 owner. I recommend Duralast lifetime warranty coils though. They are un-branded OE but have lifetime warranty tied to your phone number. I’m running 2 out of the 6 that way on my 1 series. Approaching 100k miles so I’m sure the others are soon to follow.
