My 635, and future x308 XJR/supercharged VDP have new company on the list.

Kinja'd!!!

When I first bought mine I admit, I thought Mark VIIIs were an ugly car with great mechanicals.

I’ve changed my mind. In this color it’s like a semi modern-retro styled car that actually works.

Such an awesome factory color. More car company’s need to expand their color catalogs.

Yep, I think one of the replacement fenders I bought was originally painted that color.

There was also a white pearl, that had pink or gold tones at certain angles.

was a car I always wanted over the years but never ended up with one even though they were in abundance and I’m in the car biz.

I don’t like the hood on this or the color as I like them darker, but otherwise it’s pretty cool. I favor the early pre facelift models like this one.

Now is the time, with pretty nice ones selling for 2k.

Mines a lighter color so this seems dark, at least compared to what I’m used to.

I definitely agree about pre face lift models looking better, but then again, I’m biased.

Yep, Chameleon Blue! Paint code was TA. Ford offered this color on quite an odd assortment of cars in 1995. I distinctly remember when my mom bought her 1995 Windstar there was one in Chameleon Blue on the lot that she really wanted, but ended up deciding it wasn’t worth the extra cost and we got a dark purple/sand two-tone. Was also available on the Thunderbird, Continental, Explorer, Ranger, and maybe others. A similar color was offered on the Probe a year or two later called Boysenberry. It had a different code, but may have been the same paint. Someone on YouTube is claiming there were only 202 Chameleon Blue Mark VIII’s. Sounds about right - there aren’t many Mk8's to begin with and their target buyer when new wasn’t going to be going for that paint too often.

Yup. Oddly enough, they called it “Venetian Blue” (IIRC).

I wish. Mines the same body style (pre facelift) but in light blue/silver.

Eventually I will find one in this color and replace it though.

I have to say, that too is growing on me. Especially on darker colored cars with the lettering across.

10/10 would look better with a simple duck tail spoiler and flat sheetmetal
