Kinja'd!!!

I haven’t posted one of these in a while, so here goes. I cook big batches of healthy stuff to assemble into meals on the fly. Here’s a pile of brown rice and lentils with some garnishes, a pile of green beans, carrots, broccoli and zucchini, and a chicken breast.

Depends on how much oil, butter, and dressings. Also, rice had a lot of carbs and calories. Par-tey-poop-er. Just messing around.

I had fried chicken for lunch and some carrots. It was mediocre.

Im finally moving past my lazyness and starting to work out again. Ive wasted away a lot muscle wise and gained a fair bit of fat so its a long road... Trying to eat plenty of carbs and veg while cutting out fat and snacks.

Gimme now! Although I like to do green and yellow squash on the grille, and you must be some octopus or squid from the can with the rice. My buddy got me hooked on that. That way it will be a proper feast!

We are shifting our menu along those lines. Just made a run to get ingredients and we cleaned out the pantry.

Brown rice and beans are a huge part of my eating. Carbs aren’t evil as long as you have them in moderation and from good sources. It looks like a lot on the plate but I spread it out in a thin layer.

I made Caesar dressing with lots of butter. It started out as mayo, but the I added some garlic, parmesan cheese, then said fuck it and made dressing.

I hate when people try and tell me stuff since I’ve done a lot of research on all of these things but...

http://www.bodybuilding.com/content/the-keto-diet-a-low-carb-approach-to-fat-loss.html

Keto is a great way to burn fat fast and if it’s been a while since you were lifting, it’s possible to gain muscle while being at a calorie deficit. It’s basically just meats, cheese, and green vegetables and staying away from processed foods and sugar for the most part.

Hmm interesting, I tend to eat a really high carb diet so it’d be a big adjustment for me. I could use something a bit different but I dont know how seriously I’ll end up taking this.

Its not for everyone and you can feel shitty at first if you don’t get enough sodium and potassium but if you’re looking to lose weight it will work.

R/keto on Reddit has a really good FAQ but the people there tend to be fanatics, like religious zealot fanatics so you might want to stick to the FAQ.
