It would appear that the makers of the gloriously weird Ducati powered Tesi 3d are in big trouble and have actually currently stopped production for the time being.
Pity that, but they never really had a way to become a main stream maker. Perhaps its for the best?

I came for the hub-center steering. I stayed for the sads. I do hope Bimota finds a friendly patron or a special place within a larger organization, but their approach to business puts them in a weird part of the market and makes them an unattractive acquisition prospect. Nobody wants to buy a company that uses a competitors engines (for long).

I love this suspension configuration. I’ve been threatening to build the ultimate rock crawler using a hybrid diesel-electric system and suspension like this since the late 90s.

One of my absolute favorite youtube clips—- from when Bimota was using suzuki engines versus a Duc. Shitty quality, seems to be from the VHS era... but still worth a watch of them arcing those bikes thru the mountains.. (crazy ending too!)
