The fast lane was his domain. Though many challengers lined up behind him, he was loath to relinquish the throne. Finally, one contender moved into the center lane, and attempted to pass the sad man, who fought tooth and nail to prevent this. Alas, he did not have the power of the contender’s V8, but what he did have instead was determination.
The maximum velocity of his little car was achieved briefly, which was not limited by gearing or horsepower. Instead, the overloaded appliance announced its frustration via partially releasing an unidentifiable component from it’s underbody. It was large, and made a horrific noise:
SLAPSLAPSLAPSLAPSLAP
Upon hearing this alarming noise, the sad man slammed on the brakes, slowing down so rapidly that he immediately became a tiny spec in the Q ship’s rear-view mirror. Neither the sad man nor his versa were seen or heard from ever again.

Seriously though, why do so many fucking people do this. If you don’t want people passing you on the right, move over. If you don’t want people passing you at all, drive faster than everyone else BEFORE they start passing you.

I’ve had this happen to me before, and i can honestly say it always brings a smile to my face. Nothing makes me happier than crushing egos when I blow by a left lane hog.
With that said, I ama very agressive user of the left lane. If there is someone who is impeeding in the left lane, I first get close to them, to notify them of my presence. Then I flash my lights at them, to signal that they should get over. If that doesn’t work, I proceed to pass on the right while giving them a dirty look

YES haha I do a slightly different version of this. I find that in MA things like flashing, horn honking, and rude gestures are more likely to induce road rage than you’d think. So I don’t flash, but I do come up behind them quickly. I call it the “dive bomb” lol. I maintain a safe amount of space but brake hard at that distance so up until then, the rate I’m approaching at is... noticeable x)

Ugh for real though, I’d kill for a last gen Range Rover sport supercharged... sooo excessive. Camry sized monthly payments at this point thanks to depreciation. That rainy day fund though... better save 5 figures haha

Hammerlane Hogs on Interstate Highways are a big irritation. I do my best to give them a reasonable opportunity to get over, without any tailgating or aggressive behavior on my part. But once the road is clear, I am going to make a pass on the right. No eye contact, no gestures, no retributions... just pass and put distance between myself and the offender as quickly as possible. Even though my Mustang has the little V6, they rarely keep up...

Yeah, that is what it is supposed to be... quick enough to get around and away from the left lane hog, but not so annoying that they make a phone call to the state troopers. Didn’t even downshift on that one. But it amazes me how often I have to make a right lane pass...
