It was held at the 78th Street Art Studios in Cleveland. The building was home to American Greetings for many years but prior to that it was the original building for Baker Electric Cars. The company had factory facilities on 80th St and 78th. The building at 78th is now art studios, photographers, printers, entertainment venues and recording companies. INXS, Creed, Warrant and other bands had done work there over the years. Great wedding and it was cool looking at all the artwork. One display was all photography from Bob Dylan and the Band back in the day. So much stuff I wanted to look at but couldn’t because of the event.

Funny to read the Baker had a 160 mile range which beats the crap out of a new Nissan Leaf.

I believe Leno has a Baker Electric.

You are correct. He has a 1909 which would have been built in this factory. Thomas Edison bought his first car from the same place.

Wonder if Henry Ford ever tried an electric?

His wife had an electric car actually. Before the electric starter, cars were very difficult and dangerous to start. Most female drivers of the day drove electric cars.

Yeah - recall that Top Gear ep where they said that little French car had broken a lot of arms w/ the starting handle.

Yep. The inventor of the electric starter was motivated by the death of a close friend. The engine backfired and the handle hit him in the head.

Now that you say that I can recall the story. If you think engine cranks went out way back look at the front on old Triumphs. My ‘63 TR4 had a hand crank in case the electrics didn’t work as planned. Used it a couple of times just for fun. Was afraid I might break my arm so after I knew it worked I never tried it again.

I probably would have done the same. I think some Ladas came with cranks into the 90's actually.
