The beer is pretty damn amazing too, and the food, and the... yeah let’s just say this is my home away from home.

Deutsch ist nicht so schwierig! (Though I must say my native tongue Dutch is somewhat like German, making it easier to learn and stay somewhat skilled speaking it)
Have fun with the beer and the food, but please don’t combine that with driving fast, haha.

Haha yes, though I’ll be staying in Baden-Wurttenburg Monday through Wednesday and Schwabian is even worse! My colleagues tell me do not try anything but high German. Back here for a customer meeting on Thursday. Prost!

No, not ever to the last part. That’s part of what makes this trip always a catch-22. I always want to rent the car and drive but then my colleagues from the states with me (or singular this time) say “that’s fine, but it also means you have to drive home from the biergarten”....

I was in Stuttgart yesterday and the Schwabian dialect would drive me crazy if I had to listen to it everyday.

One problem with that sign and what it means: you can proceed as you will but trucks are still doing 80 km/h in the right lane. Overtaking them is not a thing for the faint of heart.

It’s mostly 3 lane motor ways for the major drive we have, the 2 lane doesn’t have many trucks on it either fortunately. It’s a fairly open and smooth sailing drive from Munich to where our office is.

Its interesting how much Schwabian even impacts the accent to english. A northern German speaking English is farrrr easier to understand but fortunately I’ve gotten used to it.
