It got juuuust dark enough between taking pictures of my brother’s Grand Am and going back to the house to get my S10 to ruin the pictures.
Decent pictures from someone (me) who has no idea what they’re doing with a DSLR.
Annnd, trash. Absolute grainy trash.
This one is kinda okay.

It still amazes me how clean it is considering it has 165,000 miles on it and the previous owner was a teenager who had it for their first car.

It’s not often I see a rust free S10 around here, or a Grand Am with all its clear coat. The Grand Ams condition is far more surprising considering it has 90,000 more miles than the S10.

There was never a 2-door of that gen, that’s a prototype GM made but nothing ever came of it. The one I’m eyeing is just a regular old 4WD LS.

Most people definitely treat them as throw away cars. The previous owner of my brother’s though was so meticulous with maintenance they kept a little book and wrote down every little thing they ever did to it, even going so far as writing down when they put a damn air fresher in the car.

I miss my Grand Am. :( I still see it around town occasionally. It looks like hell now, though. Has well over 200k on it, too. Of course, when I had it, it looked damn near new. That’s why I am glad my 3 was traded in at a dealership in another town. I don’t have to see what it looks like now.
