Team O’Neil had an open practice session today where you could just go and run a slalom / skidpad course they set up for anyone with $40 burning a hole in their pocket, provided you drive your own car.

My fantastic wife signed me up, so off I went. I was early and they let me go early and stay late, so I got probably 90 minutes in, and I managed to keep my daily driver in tact while having a blast at the same time.

I could say a lot more but there’s beer to drink and football to watch. Photos below.

Hmmm, If they keep doing this I am going to have to go.

Have fun dealing with the 500lbs of gravel now packed onto the underside of your car. (Seriously that stuff gets everywhere and you will be finding piles of it for months)

Haha, yes you should go! And it may help that it was all of 4 degrees when I left, I don’t think I packed on too much gravel.... I did have to stop on the way home and clean the snow and ice from my rear wheels

Tomorrow morning give your fender liner a whack behind the tire. If the course wasn’t under an inch of ice you brought some gravel home.

Pfft you say that like it’s obvious. I would totally do that with the top down. My head doesn’t fit in the car with a helmet on anyways. You just gotta dress like you are going skiing and crank the heat.
