1989 Merkur Scorpio, the lady driving it was surprised I was so interested in it, because it’s so plain. Apparently when she inherited it, the car had always been garage kept and was in showroom condition with only 70,000 on the odometer which has since failed. She told me that it is her daily driver and has suffered some from being out side all the time. I was so excited as this is a truely rare car, and in my area even a ZR1 C6 would be a sighting of note.
Also saw a last gen Viper in traffic today, but no pics :(

The US headlights don’t do anything for it though.
They were originally introduced as a hatchback, hoping to catch both the four door and estate buyers.
Didn’t work.
They had to introduce a four door:

She didn’t know why someone would be interested? Had she considered the last time she parked next to another Merkur Scorpio or was behind one in traffic?
