For taking your vehicle to a cut-rate brake shop.

Kinja'd!!!

Not only did your aftermarket pads have half the pad surface area, but the shop also tossed the shims (which were more costly than the pads themselves?!)

Pedal feel: instantly improved. Stopping distance: instantly shortened. Pedal pulsation: instantly gone. Awful squealing at all speeds, even though the pads were at 80%: instantly gone.

+1 for OEM. Some things just shouldn’t be skimped on.

What car is it? I’ve never seen a brake pad that had that kind of backing plate to it.

Those shims look almost too pretty to hide behind the brake caliper!

I’m sure they’re caked with brake dust by now.
