Kinja'd!!!

...just like the time I was at the dollar store a couple posts back. Once again, microfiber material items are disguised as something else. These things shown above are nothing more that regular microfiber cleaning rags.

Kinja'd!!!

As my wife continued to look for some new items to review on her YouTube channel , I noticed the prices were something like SAE and Metric lol.

Kinja'd!!!

Those were for sure metric prices. $6.00, $8.00, $5.00. Easy. These below are SAE prices.

Kinja'd!!!

$3 AAAAND 87 cents EXACTLY! $2 AAAAAAAAND!!!!! 84 cents or GTFAC! Very odd.

I noticed a lot of metallic finger nail paint stuff (not sure what they are called in English) and between the very rad colors and super tiny metallic flake, these would make some killer paint options when customizing cars on LaLD

Kinja'd!!!

This matched my Z4 perfect. I need to find a 1/64 Z4 non GT3.

Last image shouldn’t come as a surprise...

Loofas are great and your skin will thank you for using one. The question is if those microfiber rags were cheaper or more expensive than the ones at autozone.

They wanted $3 for these. They sell a 2 pack of microfiber rags at the big dollar store near me. I’ve used them for years and they work just like any other. Just normal microfiber rags. 2 for $1

You can get by with just two?

I’ve had a good little stack of them here for a while. They can survive several times in the washer and dryer. When it’s time to get more (a little over a a year is regularly used), it’s only a couple bucks for new replacements.

They’re called “nail polish.” Though, some folks across the pond call them “nail varnish” sometimes. Watch out in buying them because it’s addicting. I have over 100 bottles, I think. I dunno, I’ve never actually counted. But prices with them are ridiculous, too. You can buy “cheap” ones at Walmart and drug stores for like 99 cents, while other, more ritzy brands like Essie and OPI are $8-$10 or more per bottle. You can often find cheaper brands that are of just as good a quality as the more pricey stuff (though sometimes the cheap stuff IS shitty quality).

For your wife Right.....

I clicked on the link and can’t understand a word she is saying.

something something speak american.(This is to be taken as a Joke)

Ps. I’m a Canadian who gets dirty looks when he speaks English in Quebec, and gets dirty looks when i speak french in Ontario.

what language do you guys speak at home? I speak French to my wife, and at work. But I speak English to my kids and we watch TV in English.

I am a Minority here in Rural Quebec, seeing that about 2% of our rural population is English.

It might be worth it for the $8 if the metallic aspect is the right size for painting 1/64 cars. Shopping around is key of course. My wife would like that lol :]

Oh wow I didn’t know you could get “looks” for speaking English anywhere in Canada. I just figured it was 100% English with French being like something classic/not common traditional.

My wife actually speaks perfect French (studied it in school) but it’s pretty much 99% Spanish at home and 50% at work

non, non Ici au Québec c’est le Français qui est notre langue première.

Google Quebec law 101.

everything in Quebec is french.

The only reason I will be allowed to send my kids to english school is because I went to english School in Quebec.

p.s not everyone gives the looks by the way.

Oh, you’d be surprised the kind of variety you’ll find in metal flake and glitter that’s used in nail polish. Even the cheapy stuff offers a really wide variety. There’s a pretty inexpensive brand that you can find at Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, etc. called Pure Ice. I have this silver color and it’s BEAUTIFUL! Goes on quite well in just one coat, too.

Kinja'd!!!

Also, if you’re gonna use nail polish, be sure to put on a glossy top coat. Though, they also sell a top coat that makes the polish matte, as shown below:

Kinja'd!!!

That could be a cool effect for diecasts, too.

There’s even powders you can use that create a very realistic chrome effect:

Here’s what a silver chrome looks like with different top coats:

Then there’s polishes that create a holographic effect:

There’s a LOT of options out there. :)

I’ve seen this and just sort of figured it was just “a side of town” located within in a big city

Montreal is half/half

meaning half french and half everything else.

The Anglo population of Quebec is about 1 million out of 7 million

Note that most of that million is in Montreal and some are in quebec city.

but the the rest of the regions, like here is french. For example My hometown

Rouyn-Noranda, used to have more english schools than french schools, Used to be 2 cities way back then too, Noranda was english, and Rouyn was french.

The English left the regions, and with the 1980 and 1995 referendums those numbers became even smaller.
