It’s ironic that I normally dislike slammed cars, but the D2 lends itself to the style rather well. Audio candy at the bottom.

Big, long sedans in general looks really good lowered.

I’ve been lusting for one of these recently. Only one for sale in my area has a bad transmission though. Plus having an E39 540i and an A8 seems like a recipe for distaster.

You’re talking to the guy who has an A8 and an Alfa Romeo. I live for disaster.

Kinja'd!!!

I don’t think that Audi will make a very good tug.

While it could probably pull that jet no problem, I agree that it is poorly suited for the job.

I think the FWD A8 is funny. Thought about them, maybe it would be a good troll’s car, but too bad they’re pieces of shit in terms of reliability.

The RL of the time is cool, too. Has a longitudinal engine FWD like Audi, but it’s a much better car and easier to keep on the road.

But of course, Lexis is better than both

Yeah, I get what they were going for, but the angle needs adjustment and that black line shouldn’t be in the picture.

I think the Acura is certainly more reliable and better value. Unfortunately, it’s slower, smaller, not as well equipped, can’t be had with AWD, and I’d be willing to bet every cent I have to my name that it is louder and less comfortable. Those are all the really important things in an executive car.

I admire your insistence, but a Hyundai Genesis coupe is far more reliable and cheaper than a BMW 650i. Doesn’t make it a better car. The Hyundai is also a 2 door sporty coupe like the Bimmer. Doesn’t make it a competitive car.

When I was in high school I had a friend who’s dad was a doctor and a regular at the local Audi dealership (A4/S4 level, but bought every couple years, spent a lot on accessories). We were doing a film class project and decided to do a mobster movie parody and he was able to get the dealer to loan us their demo B2 A8L for the afternoon to be our Don’s car. Man did we feel like total bad asses for a few hours.

Even mine, a beige model with 150k on the clock, makes me feel like a Russian mob boss when I’m in it.

Now I just need a discount chauffeur.

Some of those are pretty good. There are many people out there with technology that’s now more readily available to the masses, trying to make names for themselves.

I could easily be considered one of those, though in a different medium.

What’s your medium? I fancy myself a solid amateur photographer. Keyword: amateur. Other keyword: solid.

For all I know, that could have been your photo of the Audi and perhaps I came across too judgmental. Apologies if I did, but the collection you sent along had some much more interesting and creative photos in it than the tow bar photo.

Readily available technology has really watered down the DJ industry.

Not at all, even if it were I welcome criticism. My medium is the ever-exciting Youtube dash cam video:

When I was into Audis I was always a C5 guy myself, but I’m a huge fan of the D2S. Cordelia wheels, coils and a 6 speed (I’ve driven a factory 6speed S8 before) and new paint or a wrap is all you need to make fire S8s
