This is exciting news. Of all the North American shows to debut the concept at, I’m surprised they picked the Toronto show in a few weeks time. No doubt the dealer network here may have played into that, but I am looking forward to seeing the thing in person.

No idea if anything on the concept has changed since that initial batch of photos from the factory.

Please please please let me get a media pass.

I sure could use a shot of sexy, ultra-exotic cars. All these crossovers...

I haven’t gone in years, actually. There’s almost never any big debuts anymore, even Montreal has some.

Last year was pretty good. Ford was on fire, and automotive exotica was fantastic. There was a Singer, Pagani, lots of McLarens. There was also a display of old Indy Cars.

I’m pre-approved for a media pass already but if the media day is a Thursday again, I probably can’t make it. If it’s transferrable, I’ll happily let you have it.

I can’t either. Everything is usually unveiled at NAIAS, and then sent to Toronto a few weeks later.

It was nice seeing the F1 GTR last year though.

Maybe I’m just negative, but most products introduced in Detroit go straight to Chicago after, which is held for 2 weeks, and overlaps Toronto by starting a week earlier.

As an example, the Ford GT was introduced in January 2015 in Detroit, and came to Toronto in February 2016.

Last year it was a simultaneous double debut for the GT that weekend. Toronto got a yellow car with black stripes, Chicago got the grey car with black stripes.

Too bad the GT LM car couldnt be debuted here, especially with the factory an hour away.

But yeah NAIAS being the very first show, theres no other place to go I guess.
