Air suspension - the best way to get that looks parked, and still drive at stock height, with stock camber....

When I look at my car with hydraulic suspension and see it sitting like that I think that it’s going to be an expensive month, not that it looks good.

why would it be an expensive month if you raise your car to a more reasonable height to drive it?

and there is a pretty sizeable difference between an actual hydraulic suspension vs a pneumatic one...

I understand that. When my car sits that low it means something very big has gone wrong with my suspension. Last time it sat that low it was $3000. The time before that was about $2000. I personally think the VIP look ruins cars.

grille (ril/)

noun

1. a grating or screen of metal bars or wires, placed in front of something as protection or to allow ventilation or discreet observation.

Sounds right to me.

I cant speak for hydraulic suspensions, but if your pneumatic suspension is costing you $2000 and $3000 every time you go that low something is terribly wrong with the parts, or the way it was installed...

I daily drive my car, it has over 100k miles on air suspension (I installed 6years ago in my driveway in jan 2011 as a present to myself for graduating with an automotive engineering degree)

Go cheap on parts and you are going to have headaches, I use DOT lines and SMC DOT fittings. I also have viair compressors and Accuair suspension management with k-sport air struts and its been good to me.

VIP done wrong ruins cars, VIP done right is no issue...

It’s Mercedes ABC Hydraulic suspension. It’s pretty much designed to be a PITA to work on lol. For what it’s worth I’ve never had issues with the air bags in my suburbans, and the problems I’ve had with my ABC Have just been unfortunately located in the engine bay (the expensive one was a high pressure line mounted behind the engine). I don’t cheap out on parts ever, I’m just a disgruntled S600 owner lol.

ugh, im sorry to hear that happened!

I am always kinda weary of OEM hydraulic or pneumatic suspensions... Range Rovers and those older lincoln town cars are notorious for breakdowns and being a pita to work on... (There was even one case of a limo’s compressor catching fire on the san mateo bridge. its quite sad)

The only one i know of that is stout and reliable is the lexus ls400 system...

the oems seem to to always over complicate them for some stupid reason, simple is elegant IMHO

Yeah, ABC is a fucking joke. My LS has conventional shocks so I generally don’t worry much.
