Dying breed, here.

I have a Town Car with a column shifter and an XJ8 with a weirdo J-Gate and driver seating like a fighter jet. I much prefer the latter, personally.

Call me crazy, but the entire time I was driving the Micra I kept trying to column shift, thinking it was a van.

ITs a dying breed unless you keep in mind the some of the F-series trucks have column shifters.

Bench seat and column shifters FTW!
A Colorado/Canyon would be the perfect next truck for me, but only if they decide to offer a bench seat and column shifter.

I think some GM trucks still do as well.

And some of their vans, like the express. Those actually handle driving down lease roads at speed pretty well.

Full-size GM trucks and vans will probably have column shifters until the world ends.

Does the stalk shifter in Mercedes count?
They don’t count for me. I have two vehicles with real column shifters.

Yes!
I’ve said this many times, but whichever company grows the balls to sell me a new crew cab truck with two plaid bench seats, gets my money.

I need an old car with a column shift auto, V8, and bench seats in my life :(

That seems right to me. A console shifter in a truck just feels weird.

Hmmm... cars I have owned:
2 column shift automatics (both of which had bucket seats oddly enough)
2 console shift automatic automatics
3 manuals (all console shift nothing weird for me)
I just don’t get the point of putting an automatic shifter in the console. Just seems to waste space. Especially in a FF transverse layout, even if it is mechanical it’s not like it’s somehow closer to the transmission or anything. When I was 16 my dad bought an Olds Intrigue with the console shifter. Everything we’d had up to that point besides a cheap Cavalier and a manual S10 had been a column shift (an array of yawnworth Chevy and Ford sedans, wagons, and minivans). I remember being on the test drive and asking the salesman why they wasted so much space by putting the shifter there when they could’ve had a bench seat or at least another cup holder. He said it was sportier. I asked why the hell an Oldsmobile was trying to be sporty. My dad told me to shut up.

Sadly no. No Hilux in the States.

Oh well.
Have a Hilux interior, with six on the floor.
On the other hand, the Hiace van began with a column change, as so:

I should have clarified: Floor shifter feels normal when it’s a manual, strange when it’s an auto.

You are right, it eats up way to much space in the cab.
