One of my favorite thing about the M3 is passing people on two lane roads, about 98% in a legal passing zone. A lot of people take exception to getting passed for some reason so they speed up. However, I’m usually in third for this passing move so all I do is put my foot down a little and I just walk away, I love it.

its even more fun with a turbo. I only spool a little bit when passing and if they want to speed up i just give it more boost :)

One thing I’ve wondered. Is it actually illegal where you are, or just discouraged?
In VT, it is legal unless in a specifically posted “DO NOT PASS” zone. Double yellows are just to warn you of possible blind sections.

It was not legal:
(b) The operator of a vehicle may drive on the left side of the center of a roadway on any portion thereof which has been designated a no-passing zone, as described in par. (a) , to overtake and pass, with care, any vehicle, except an implement of husbandry or agricultural commercial motor vehicle, traveling at a speed less than half of the applicable speed limit at the place of passing.
Since the limit had just changed from 25 to 45 and they were struggling to accelerate past 30, they were doing more than half of the limit once they passed the sign, and I passed them.
But in the interest of not being stuck behind them knowing thier short but shitty history of driving (under the limit, on the shoulder, across the center line) I need to pass them now because the next legal passing zone was over a mile ahead.

The wording is similar in VT, but double yellows do not designate a no passing zone, only signs.
