Kinja'd!!!

Going on a nice long ski trip with friends for the holiday weekend coming up, so I figured I would bring my PS3 along. Since I have like no multiplayer games, I figured I’d pick up a cheap sports game. I found Fifa 2012 BRAND NEW for $4 on Amazon. What a steal!

Hmm, at that price I would investigate for reselling, but market rate seems to be about $7-$10 for factory sealed. #wompwomp

Still a NP for keeps.

Especially if it had free shipping, that’s impressive.
I was most recently impressed when I found a brand new book on Amazon for sale for $2 and change, free Prime shipping, and not an addon item. Provided somebody buys just that - or even that plus anything that ships out of any other warehouse , there’s no getting around the fact that Amazon is losing money on that sale no matter what.

But come on - Fifa 12 ?? The game’s got a ton better since then and for sure would be worth at least a couple bucks more - even if you went used. Most recent I have is 15 and I bought it when it came out for $40 so I’d imagine you could’ve got that used for like $10.

I could really care less how much “better” the game could have gotten. I got it brand new, shipped in 2 days with prime, and it was $4. I mean I am still playing on a PS3 so obviously I don’t need the latest and greatest lol. I am hoping my friends are more down for GT6 but I feel like FIFA is more group-friendly.

Pfft, what do I care about what sort of shady business tactics Amazon might run? All I care is it was cheaper than any other game (even used) I have gotten before. Shit, I remember spending $19 on used PS2 games at gamestop that were at least 10 years old and thinking that was a good deal. This makes up for when I was spending $50 on games in middle school.

Yeah, I don’t mean to be a party pooper. But as someone who resells games to fund his own gaming collection, I always look for new revenue streams, lol

$4 is definitely a nice price for most any sealed game.

Ohh I thought you meant like investigate that Amazon was doing reselling, like they were a criminal or something. Now I get what you meant!

No problem, I am actually a bit surprised that a sealed copy isn’t more. I understand that EA Sports games depreciate faster than a Ferrari nearing a maintenance check, but I was still a bit shocked that a sealed copy is so close in value to a used copy.

Used would have actually been more with shipping!
