I’ll start with a nice copy and paste of his description(it’s on a Facebook group and I can’t share it):

I wonder how much wheel travel it gets before it starts eating fenders.

I like it. What I don’t like is this:

so as to not have to buy an LS1 intake manifold and get away with the stock fugly truck one

He would actually consider throwing the truck intake away and replacing it with an LS1 based on aesthetic alone? Um...

#1, if the looks bother you, those bits and pieces on the truck intake can be shaved off.

#2, don’t replace it with an LS1. Doesn’t flow as well. Go LS2 at least. That way it’ll give you some gains (it’ll still cost you in low end, but will have more power when you wring it out. LS1 is worse at both)

#3, I’m not sure that’s even possible. Iirc the truck heads are cathedral port and car heads were rectangle port.

Is that a stock filter location? Seems odd that the filter is lower than the pan.

Or Y’know an aftermarket intake

Yeah. But based on aesthetic alone? Ridiculous.

Besides, the best bang for the buck is a TBSS intake. Which will also be “fugly”

Does your oil filter hang low?

Did it cost a lot of dough?

Can you lose it in the sand?

Can you lose it in the snow?

It’s not much lower, barely enough to put a wrench on it.

Pretty sure it is. I doubt the recommended filter is that long though. For that vehicle, I’d use a remote mount....

I had just seen this video and it made me lol- and the way the CL ad started with “I like trucks, I like corvettes!” reminded me of it...
