no I realize that, but what I mean is that there is already a place for the full size body on frame SUV in the ford lineup, and its the expedition. This isn’t a mule (as far as i know) for the bronco. Sure they could make a 2 door expedition, but given that we know the expedition is IRS and tuned to be a tahoe competitor I don’t know how it would fulfill the hardcore mandate. I guess they could completely re-engineer the rear to accept f150 drivelines, but having a 2 door niche vehicle seems to make less sense that bringing a midsized shared platform suv over and starting from there.

Can’t disagree, just wishful thinking. I feel like having only 2 doors is part of what makes it a Bronco. Just like a Viper has to have a V10.

Yeah, I guess what I am trying to get it with this is that we are getting an everest as a bronco, and we need to get over the other renders that around floating around. Now I WILL say that they will completely rework the body and may even offer a 2 door for nostalgia sake...frankly I think looking bad is generally a bad move stylistically but its been working for Ford so...why not?

I know you know things, but I wont even bother trying to probe...Imma stick with my 2 guesses
1. Super low volume niche vehicle that appeals to the retro crowd (could be f150/expedition based, or everest based)
2. a mass market vehicle aimed at the 4runner based on the everest.
I wouldn’t be shocked with either, Ford has a history (and the cashflow) of doing some wacky things.

I’ve decided that the new Bronco will have a Super Duty front end, with a unique, all-black grille, be a single-cab with a removable roof, and available with only V8s, either the 5.0 Coyote or the 6.7L Scorpion diesel.
Because why the hell not? Outdo the Wrangler and 4Runner on brawn and machismo alone!
