I like Oddball Canadian cars and their brochures. I also like Northern Irish solid gold 80s hits so there you go. I didn’t have a stereo growing up, but our basement was basically a bar, complete with the Canadian Navy and a jukebox. Both were well stocked. My teenage moving away part was in the lingo of the time “a massive SHAKER”.
my parents totally skipped Lps and casettes, we had singles, I miss singles. When mom likes a song on the radio, dad picked it up at the jukebox store. That was a thing. When my Friends were buying Soundgarden CDs at the mall I was buying catalouge 45s in a sketchy part of town. It was still there till about 1995. about a block from Benchracer’s house in the hood.
This is one of those songs my folks liked.

Depends on who you ask. Either way, not Canada because you were part of the UK back then and I guess still kind of are. Ultimately, it was a draw. We didn’t get to liberate Canadia, but the Brits didn’t do much apart from burn a few towns on the Chesapeake Bay, while we comprehensively outmaneuvered them on the water while they were still claiming to be the greatest naval empire the world had ever seen.

I think while Texas was a country they invaded New Mexico mistaking it for old Mexico. Strangely enough New Mexico is older than Old Mexico and the villagers weren’t Mexicans but Spanish colonial folk who didn’t take any mierda from nobody and they sent Texas home to think about what they did. I think. America wins is also the answer.

As a localized subset of the wider Napoleonic Wars, obviously Britain and their allies won. For the War of 1812 itself, it was essentially a draw since the status quo didn’t really change at all from the beginning of the war to the end. Other than Washington, D.C. being burned (just the government buildings though, the British at least left private property alone).
