Buells used Sportster motors and came off an assembly line. This is an 88ci Big Twin bored out to 95ci, with a custom built everything... More of an all-American Bimota.

Is that a solid-mounted Big Twin? My computer started vibrating at the thought...

I’m pretty sure it’s rubber mounted. Who would solid-mount anything in a track bike? My taint hurts just thinking about it.

I’ve seen a few desmodues solid-mounted in bespoke frames back when I went to watch Italian rounds of BoTT.

Except bimota used motors that were fast and light, because that’s what complimented the bikes they built...

But using a warmed-over harley motor in a track bike..... sigh.. that seems akin to transplanting a chevy pickup truck motor into a porsche 911..

Almost all motorcycle engines are rigidly mounted. Harley doesn’t do this because a 45* V angle makes for miserable vibrations.

A pickup motor in a 911 would be awesome. We’re very far apart on this, guy.
