‘Tis nice to be able to open the door without an avalanche of snow falling on you.

I hate that - I run my hand along the roof edge before I open the door when it’s raining so I don’t get dripped on when I get in the car. Cheaper to leave it off, and I suppose probably better for aero...

This is why if I’m going to be inside somewhere for a while and it’s snowing, I take my snow brush with me (if possible). That way when I go out to the car I brush off the door before I get in and turn it on to warm it up.

I have them and they don’t always do what you think they do. Snow here rarely piles nicely.

Snow here usually comes in sideways at 30-50mph. Car just happened to be parked facing into the wind.

Snow here usually comes down a little more gently than that. It just doesn’t usually stick together or to things because it’s usually too cold for that.

I think it’s because of aerodynamics and wind noise nowadays.

Ditto for just plain ol’ rain. My last 4 cars have had t-tops, which means frameless windows. I think that has something to do with it. Don’t know why they can’t just put a gutter on the roof though. The MR2 has a little one but the 300ZXs didn’t at all.
