The skidsteer I run at work has a heated cab, although one of my coworkers is a bit of an idiot and was running with the door open and caught it with the bucket. The replacement door doesn’t seal at the bottom and the cold air comes in and pools around my feet, and since it’s an electronic joystick model it my feet just sit there and I have to consciously wiggle my toes to keep them warm.

I don’t know whether it’s a New Holland thing or if ours is just beat to shit but the sliding windows like to pop out of their tracks all the time. Suddenly getting blasted by -30 wind is unpleasant at best. I’d hate to be mostly just sitting there outside in that weather without proper dress. I’m usually improperly dressed though because fuck sweating. I usually only wear a bunnyhug outside at work, and if I end up digging somewhere out by hand (it happens) with a shovel, I’ve been known to go down to a t-shirt. My boss thinks I’m nuts.

I won’t argue with you, although CNH was part of the Fiat group when our L175 was built. Technically still are, although they split their automotive and industrial operations in 2011. Ford hasn’t been involved in New Holland since Fiat bought them out in ‘91 after they’d only had their hands in the NH cookie jar for five years.
