Won’t be functional down force at all. First, you’ll never get enough speed for that angle to provide any down force. Also, FWD.
The angle may help a bit with drag, filling in the wake, but it’s only for style.

May help to reduce drag, some other cars use little spoilers for similar means (focus econetic, golf bluemotion etc), but extremely unlikely much downforce would be made. Certainly not enough to notice at the speeds a normal runabout like a juke would see.

I wanted a manual, turbo, hatchback (ish). I thought I get a Cooper S, but the Juke came for sale at a local dealer. Within budget, and I loved the test drive.

Aero engineer here. From what I can see, it probably provides lift over the rear axle to then cause a more neutral front axle lift (lifting up at the rear acting across the center of gravity causes ‘downforce’ on the front axle). It will also help reduce pressure drag at the rear.
And it will have an effect, starting somewhere around 50mph most likely. So it’s really for higher speed stability so the vehicle doesn’t feel like its loose/wandering on the highway.

Rear wheels need grip, too, for braking and handling. I used to autocross a mini and the rear end would step out if you lifted quickly mid turn, and Ive heard some other fwd cars also exhibit lift induced oversteer. down force at the rear would mitigate that. This spoiler won’t do that, though.

Non drive wheels need grip, too. I rwd cars if the front loses grip you get under steer. In fdw cars if the rears lose grip you get oversteer. Happens for some fwd cars at the limit if you abruptly lift off the throttle.
