We had a BIT snow of snow overnight (30-40cm) and a lot of wind.

Glad I moved Humdrum to the bottom of the driveway! Now to shovel the driveway / her out for the next 3 hours (joy of joys) and wait for the DoT to plow our subdivision road...

We don’t very often get bigger dumps like that. I’m a bit jealous. I mean, it makes it a bit difficult for you to get around I suppose (the Jeeps and Niva don’t exactly have that issue) but it’s still more than the frequent <2" dustings and occasional 6-8"’er. We did get a couple this year almost in the 12" range, but it’s still more due to it blowing and drifting than actual accumulation.

As we’re on the water, it can be random here. The ocean does weird things to the weather. The last two winter storms we got were rain for where I am and on the other side of the province, snow.

All of Nova Scotia was under a Winter Storm Warning for 30-40cm or 40cm+ overnight - ended around 7am, this morning.

It is, but it is also exhausting to shovel. Our driveway is about 70m or 235ft long...

Sounds like you need a snowblower!

The “mountain” I live on does strange things to the weather too. Seems like for smaller storms it tends to collect them and hang on for a bit, so south of here will get an inch and we might get four, but the couple major storms that came through and absolutely hammered the southern part of the province kinda got split in two, and the north slope got a kicking, with one storm dropping 4-6 feet (took a couple days to bust the highway out cause the plows couldn’t push through a few sections, they had to scoop some spots out with loaders), and we got 8-10" on the south slope.
