Drove the audi to the airport and went flying.
Pic of car and plane.

Jealous - I’m years removed from being current, and evening is a perfect time to fly-

This is neither alfas nor nissan. I feel betrayed.

Sure looks like a Civil Air Patrol livery on that Cessna.

Nice! Is that a 172 or 182? Can’t tell that easily. Most of my time is in 172s but I really love the 182.

172, I have time in both but this 1u3 has stc s for 180hp and 2550 max gross with mogas. Wonderful rental at $117

I’m entirely too multifaceted for just alfas and Nissans. The planes work at least.

180 is nice in a 172. Does wonders for the climb rate. I have some time in the 172S and had a ball in it. Going back to a 150 Hp 172M was a big downgrade.

Most of my time is in a 152 loaded to max gross in Denver. Any 172 is wonderful, especially a 180hp.

Ha- yeah, I’ve never flown a 152, but my stepbrother learned in them, and he always told me that him + an instructor and fuel pretty much put the airplane at gross, and probably beyond. Not a recipe for climbing quickly, for sure!

One of these days I need to start working towards a pilots license.

I wish I could as I wanted to be a pilot as a child.

I wanted to be an airline pilot but nothing came of it. I at least want a private certificate.
