I just got Grand Theft Auto Five, and I was wondering, since I don’t have XBox Live Gold, how do I make money in singleplayer? It finished downloading Thursday, and ever since I have been doing missions and just wondering exactly how to make money. Also, do I have to wait for a certain mission to sell cars to Los Santos Customs?

There are plenty of walk throughs online. You will make the most money when you do the Franklin side jobs for Lester that involve the stock market. Do them at the right time and invest prior to each mission either each pc player and each will have a 1/4 billion or so if you do it right.

But seriously, just find a walk through to do it right.

Have fun

Just keep doing missions, at a certain point the heists will start and the money’ll start rolling in.

Somewhere down the line, you’ll unlock assassination missions. One is part of the main story IIRC, but the rest you should ignore until after you’ve finished the story. These assassinations influence the in-game stock market, and the game makes clear what to invest in before and/or afterwards for maximum profit. If done well (i.e. after you’ve already collected the maximum amount of money from the story), you’ll have more money than you can ever spend.

More here .

I just finished my first heist, and I am in the middle of introducing Trevor right now.

Alright, you should start getting (a bit) more money now. Most of the stuff (weapons) unlock after missions, so no need to buy them. The big items (real estate) only become affordable in the end-game, if you play the stock market/assassinations as outlined above.

Have fun!
