In most states, littering is a pretty steep penalty.
I remember one time seeing someone in a GMC Safari drop a half-full Big Gulp on a parking lot. I wanted to chase them down and dump that drink right back in their lap.

There are a lot of people that do this deliberately IN our drive thru at work because we have no garbage can for them to throw things into as they drive around the building....seriously.....I assume you live SOMEWHERE? When you eventually go home, which I assume you will do, how hard is it to take the thing you have with you into the house and throw it into the trash there? Or, better yet! How about stopping in our parking lot, getting out of your car, walking 5 feet to the garbage can in front of the store and DROPPING IT THERE???

You’re not alone. When folks do this, it prompts an almost visceral reaction in me that causea me to want to throw something out the window of my car in theirs, like the lug wrench in my spare tire kit. Luckily for them, I don’t give into my baser instincts easily.
