The crazy thing about that CL listing was that the guy was actually a car guy but not only couldn’t be bothered to spell Integra and it wasn’t even an Integra anyway it was a 2.2CL. He was just an older guy that couldn’t be bothered with figuring out autocorrect or how CL worked.

For bicycles it’s Pedal and Brake. They are forever peddling and using their breaks.
They also have no idea what the parts of their bikes are called. Oh, and they have no idea why clipless pedals don’t have clips when they clearly “clip in” when they are wearing their fancy shoes. (These are actually cleats and they are “clicking in,” but they don’t know the difference).

The main difference is that bicycle guys will not suffer a peice of shit, some of us car guys consider maintaining a piece of shit to be an honour. For bikes, derailleur is such a pain in the as to spell that derailer has become increasingly common, though opinions vary on its legitimacy.

Not true! There are cyclists, “elite” racer wannabes, and then there are bike riders. The first and the last will gladly ride what the elitists would scoff at. Only the last would suffer the trials and tribulations of a bicycle-shaped object from Walmart.
In my stable is a 41-yr-old Schwinn, a 20-yr-old Cannondale, and a 10-yr-old Redline. None of them pass the elitist minimum criteria simply because of their age, but all of them were state of the art when they were new.

ICYMI this was is the mythical Integrated. Friend bought it in October for the full $1900 asking price. Been pretty solid. The ignition switch contacts wore out so right now it needs to be hot wired, but it is running strong.

It’s hard to screw up a single-speed. They usually manage to do it by using cheap metal for the chain and fasteners. This is evident after the bike is left in the rain. Most bike riders don’t know any better because they’ve never owned a bike that doesn’t rust.
