Kinja'd!!!

So Adobe premiere used to crash a lot, though it hasn’t much lately, and when it did I got so sick of filling out crash reports that I just starting writing little stories instead. I used to work in tech support and stuff like this made my day. Anyway, go sports.

You should have added in about how you have a whole bunch of moderating to do on Oppositelock.

It’s always a win when your rant can go out into the ether and cause a smile.

It’s not babysitting when it’s your own kids, it’s simply parenting . I mean, your kids are how old now? That’s some pretty advanced notice.

Weird. Lightroom crashes a lot too. I don’t fill out the crash reports nearly as creatively though.

Your wife probably finds herself exhausted after a long day of work, too. Especially nights she has to work late, like today. Then she still has to plan dinner and “babysit” the children you both created.

You know nothing about my personal life and you are being invited politely to butt out. Further comments along these lines will be summarily dismissed.

Back in college (now that I can say that), one of the web platforms that the courses used (Blackboard, for those who must know) actually had, or maybe still does have, a section at the bottom for comments.

Normally, I felt (rightfully so) that my professors were not tech savvy enough to appriciate some commentary, but in my multimedia classes, I would paste lyrics from the Portal theme, or other little nuggets of info that had nothing to do with the class. Always felt like some things needed to make their way around.

Often when I get a software crash, its a fiasco so I have to be super specific because my machine isnt the kind to just randomly crash. I have alpha and beta tested in the past as well, so it helps.

If I caused the crash, thats different. May use this method moving ahead. Seems like a great benign way to vent about life from the other side of the screen.

Sometimes it’s just a story, sometimes a song...all I know is that someone somewhere is either deeply annoyed or happy about getting my crash reports

This I like. I see in the example you posted that you have the option of sending a crash report or not, therefore, I’m assuming you do this for your own amusement. Adobe isn’t so diabolical as to “require/force” you send them a crash report in some instances are they?
