After sitting unused for two weeks while I was on vacation in subzero weather, it started today on only the third try. I’m so proud.

The steering column and windshield were also covered in frost, but we’ll gloss over that.

My favourite moments of using a car in the winter is when the gauge cluster ices over.

My battery’s charge did not survive the punishing Houston winter. Luckily, I bought a little USB battery with jump start cables recently so I could get it going without too much hassle.

The outlet I plugged my block heater into tripped its breaker last night, as it seems to be doing on one day out of five below -30°C. I filmed it starting, I’ll probably post it later tonight. It took a couple attempts but it went, despite sitting all night. I didn’t confirm it, but one of my coworkers claimed we were the coldest spot in Canada this morning, at -34°C. I find that hard to believe though because it’s really not all that cold...
