I don’t get the H block love. Nice when it’s destroked and badged as an F engine though.

What would you think of a B16B Prelude

Added 4WS? There’ve been a lot of nonstandard changes .

If the engine in mine breaks, I may just do it. Either that or a B18C.

Troll everyone and put a 20v 4AGE in instead.

Relative to the other 90s VTEC engines, the H has a more usable powerband. When I did the engine swap on my 5th gen, I chose the H23 VTEC over the F20B because of its better torque. That said, if the engine ever goes in my 3rd gen, I’d probably do a B18C swap now that there are mounts for it. For awhile, the H/F was the only swap that had support.

SR20DET converted to transverse layout.

I love how much this entire conversation reminds me of my discussions in high school and early college haha.

Here you go. With a bonus option for AWD.

No, I want to go through the painstaking process of starting with an S15 engine and doing it myself for maximum insanity.

That and I forgot that.

I keep forgetting that’s transverse.

Or make it AWD and AWS with a pulsar GTI-R drivetrain.

I used to have a 4th gen with the H22A4. To date still my favorite engine in a honda.

This is a fantastic build and looks like tons of run. Nothing really wrong with it. Not sure I’d pay $6k, but if he would negotiate a bit its a pretty cool car.

I thought the same thing until I drove my friends idiotic H22-swapped CB7. They are stupid fun to drive - just pulls throughout the rev range.

I have a 5th gen that I swapped a factory H23 VTEC into. Essentially it’s an H22 head on an H23 block, but since it came from a JDM Accord wagon that has all different kinds of sensors and such, you basically need a donor H22 to run it. It’s so worth it, though...the longer stroke makes the powerband more balanced. It’s an absolute blast on back roads, even more than one with the H22.

Very nice ‘lude! I did always like the 5th gen better. I’ve been thinking about getting one...

Those engines are a blast AND reliable AND economical! I could spin my wheels and leave stangs in the dust at the strip AND get 26mpg! Man.... what are they doing with engines anymore.

Thanks. The 5th gen isn’t as good performance-wise as the 4th gen VTEC model. A couple hundred pounds heavier and longer gears.
