What If Automakers Had the Same Brands in 2017 as They Did in 2007?

I was just thinking about how branding changes every. I like to imagine the SS as a Saab 9-7 and whether the announced Hybrid F-150 and Muskang would have made perfect choices for Volvo. Though DaimlerChrysler were pretty awful together, I still think AMG-SRT would have been the most ideal performance merger in history. Can you come up with some crazy ideas in product sharing assuming all the same brand alignments from ten years ago existed today?

lol Saab 9-7. Saab would be selling rebodied Malibu sedans with AWD and a turbo-4.

GM would have cars like the

Buick Opel Insignia, Saturn Opel Insignia, and Saab Opel Insignia

Hummer branded Chevy Equinox and Hummer Branded Opel Mokka (I’d love to see a photo shop of this.)

Suzuki badged Chevy Spark, Sonic, Cruise, and Malibu

Isuzu: Colorado and Traverse

Pontiac would still have the G8 and likely the sport truck!

Saab Opel Astra to replace the 9-2X?

Pontiac may have kept Elizabeth up and G8 would continued to be a rebodied RWD Commodore, maybe also move to lengthened Alpha or shortened Omega. G5 and G6 moves do a cut down version of Alpha. Solstice gets redesigned on Kappa 2. Vibe discontinued as now there’s a Cruze hatch.
